books > Mark O'Hanlon Mark O'Hanlon is co-founder of the Malcolm Saville Society which was established in 1994 to celebrate the work of this popular children's author. 'The Complete Lone Pine', Mark's first book, was short-listed by the Children's Books Historical Society for their Harvey Darton Award and sold out within six weeks of first publication. Since then Mark has completed Malcolm Saville's unfinished manuscript 'The Silent Hills of Shropshire' which was published in 1998, updated 'Portrait of Rye' and written a biography of Malcolm Saville called 'Beyond the Lone Pine'. Richard Griffiths and Mark O'Hanlon met through the Malcolm Saville Society and have helped each other in the publication of 'Home to Witchend' and a new hardback edition of 'The Complete Lone Pine'.
