I would like
to congratulate you on a fantastic job in publishing this book. It certainly
would have earned the approval of Malcolm Saville himself.
Many thanks
for the wonderful "HOME TO WITCHEND". It is like stepping back into one's
past and receiving a new Newnes Saville book in the post. You have done a
grand job. I am sure that Malcolm Saville's family will also be very
impressed with it.
It's
WONDERFUL.
You have
done a great job and the best compliment that I can pay you is to say that
opening your book reminded me of when I was a lot younger and buying a new
Malcolm Saville in Smiths with my pocket money.
Many thanks
for the splendid edition of Home to Witchend. Are you considering any
further editions of books from the post-Newnes era, perhaps Rye Royal or
Strangers At Witchend, or was a single venture into publishing sufficient!
It looks and
‘feels’ splendid. Very nostalgic.
I received
my copy of 'Home to Witchend' today. Ever seen a grown man cry? This is a
really superb result. Mr Saville must be looking down and smiling. I
congratulate you sincerely. The best lone Pine book since Newnes stopped
printing! Mr Savilles' children will no doubt be delighted too. The icing on
the cake would be to have 'Rye Royal' Strangers at Witchend' and ‘Where’s my
Girl?' in editions like this. Too costly no doubt.
‘Home to
Witchend’ arrived today. It was even better than my greatest expectations.
Malcolm
would love it! Really thrilled. Thank you for all your hard work.
Just to let
you know that a few moments ago I opened the package containing "Home to
Witchend", and that it looks absolutely marvellous; it will look so at home
on the bookshelf with the 40's and 50's Malcolm Savilles. I look forward
to your being able to publish more of the series. A vote of thanks from me
and, I am sure, all other Malcolm Saville enthusiasts.
Just to
confirm that I have received my copy and to complement you on a really
excellent publication.
Many thanks
for the superb edition of Home to Witchend, which arrived safely last
week. It was well worth the wait, and it is good to have the story in a
more permanent form than the Armada paperback. The printers have copied the
Newnes style wonderfully, and it somehow feels that this is the way the book
'should' be. Thanks for the trouble you have gone to, and thanks for making
it possible for us to share it.
Many thanks
and congratulations on a wonderful edition
Its a lovely
edition, thank you for taking the time to arrange printing etc.
Book
received and it looks splendid. I shall take it with me to Shropshire next
week and indulge!
Home to
Witchend waiting on my door mat when I came in this p.m. Wonderful to have a
brand new book and a MS hardback title at that. Your edition looks just
fine and lines up nicely with my Scarlet not Gold and Sea Witch Comes Home
(the best LP story!)
The book
arrived today, thank you very much it's brilliant! Please let me know if
you intend to publish any of the others.
It is really
fab and you have done a fantastic job! The book will make a lovely addition
to our MS collection as it is so in keeping with the rest of the series.
It looks
splendid and I hope you will consider doing the same for some of the other
books in the series.
Thank you
very much for a handsome looking volume.
It looks
terrific, I can't wait to read it.
Thanks, I
received the book yesterday and very good it looks to! I shall enjoy
reading it.
Just to say
that my copy of Home to Witchend has arrived safely and how delighted I am
with it. It really does "belong" with all (or nearly all) my other Lone
Pine books and I am very much looking forward to reading it when I reach the
end of my Lone Pine re-read which I am currently doing.
Many
congratulations on an excellent production.
Home
To Witchend
arrived safely today. Many congratulations. Feels and looks good, quality
paper and an attractive wrap-round cover illustration. So much better
produced than the previous three editions.
Home to
Witchend arrived safely this morning. I'm very pleased with it - it's a
lovely book!
Thank you
for sending the book - it is wonderful and captures all the spirit of the
original series. I am thrilled to own a copy. Are you likely to be
reprinting any other Malcolm Saville books?
'Home To
Witchend' has just been safely delivered together with the dust jacket
covers. It looks splendid and very well produced. I look forward to reading
it as it is one of several that I've not been able to track down. It will
take pride of place amongst my small collection.
I am most
impressed with the style and finish accurately evoking the original. This
is strange, because I never read this one as a child ;-). I look forward to
seeing more to build up my collection - they are very collectible, both in
quality and price.
I for one,
and there must be many others... must say
A BIG THANK YOU for taking
the trouble, and having the faith, to publish what must be a classic. I do
so hope that further publications of the other books will be viable in
future years. |
